A brief history
Tax Risk Insurance was established in the United Kingdom more than 30 years ago, and was introduced to the South African market in the early 2010's by local specialists Qdos- and Tax Radar Underwriting Managers. In 2014, Qdos and Tax Radar merged giving rise to Tax Risk Underwriting Managers, combining the skills and experience of both these market leaders.
Tax Risk Underwriting Managers’ products are underwritten by Bryte Insurance Company - one of South Africa’s most respected insurers and a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited based in Toronto, Canada - giving our clients 100% assurance that we have the required technical expertise and global financial backing.
We are the only specialist tax risk insurance provider in South Africa. We fundamentally understand the risks companies, individuals and trusts face when dealing with SARS tax audits and related disputes. Our team has extensive industry knowledge and technical expertise in tax legislation and regulation, and is passionate about finding ways to solve our policyholders' tax audit and related dispute problems - so they can focus on building their businesses.
Tax Risk Underwriting Managers is an authorised financial service provider, providing effective insurance protection in the event of a SARS tax audit or related dispute at a premium you can afford.
